<--- Threading the Bobbin
  1. Run the thread off the bobbin Counter clockwise see NOTE-1
  2. Drop the bobbin in
  3. Run thread though the slot in side
  4. Pull it under the tension spring (B)
  5. Then replace the bobbin holder
  6. Manually run the machine through one stitch to pick up thread through the top plate

(A) Is adjustment screw for the bobbin tension

(B) Is the tension spring
Note the thread runs under the spring and in the notch of the tension spring

NOTE-1 in the book it shows the bobbin turned Clockwise the other way.
But when I tried it that way it just didn't work until I realized that I have been using the machine for upholstery and using heavy thread when I use a much lighter thread it will work that way but for heave threat I have to turn it Counter clockwise

So I guest I would have to say:

Clockwise ............................... for lighter (normal) thread
Counter Clockwise ................ for heavier thread

Thank You Alba for seeing that

This is what you will see after you manually run the machine through
one stitch (C) to pick up thread (D) through the top plate

I was running short on Bobbins till I found these in a sewing shop they run about $5
and work great and at that price you can stock up on them
They work great in my singer too
